Job description

We are looking for a talented Sales Person to join our clients fantastic business, a small but successful team, selling advanced supply chain logistics management services as well as FCL, LCL, air freight forwarding, warehousing, transportation and customs brokerage services.

This role is NOT limited to the traditional selling of but someone who can sell the full ethos of the business, and be the reason that clients continue to chose this business over their competitors, time and time again.

Selling products under this name will not be hard, as they are well respected and known in the industry with rich heritage.

This role will include:

  • Producing accurate quotations
  • Maintain healthy working relationships and gain the trust of our existing customer base
  • Identify business development potential in existing clients to increase profitability of accounts
  • Attending client meetings - Coverage of clients is handled on an ad hoc basis, i.e. not necessarily limited to specific geographies within the UK

Basic Salary of £36,500 - £43,000 + bonus, benefits

Role Requirements -

  • At least 2 years sales experience within logistics
  • Understand and actively target the right clients to fit products.
  • Comfortable with Change Management - agility is required to keep up with the company direction and a rapidly changing logistics, shipping and I.T. environment
  • Have a working knowledge of the logistics and shipping industries in order to have informed, consultative style interactions with our clients
  • Good administrative capability
  • The successful candidate must produce accurate quotes
  • A good communicator - including working with our Inside Sales and Customer Services departments, as well as weekly reporting of activities via the company CRM software
