About the team

The Engagement Hub recognises and utilises the lived-experience and creativity of service users as part of an overall approach to co-producing with them solutions and services that are efficient and work effectively to bring positive outcomes for children, young people and families.

Professionals within the Engagement Hub have extensive experience and skills in engaging and co-producing with children and young people. They have particular expertise in involving the most vulnerable children and young people, who would usually struggle to engage because of their complex emotional and communication needs.

The team also work in collaboration with partners and communities to maximize their assets in terms of skills, knowledge and capabilities, to support the development of local resilience and to promote positive social integration.

What you will be expected to deliver in the role

-To contribute to the technical website development and content creation for The Source website using the content management system and associated web-based applications.

-To use knowledge of the issues that impact on young people to inform the creation of online information, advice and self-help content.
-To bring fresh thinking and experience of using marketing communication tools (electronic and print-based), new technology and social media to improve young people's access to information, advice and self-help support.
-To endeavour to ensure that communication activities and resources for children and young people are accessible, considering disabilities and those whose first language is not English.
-To provide expert support to practitioners and others on the best use of electronic sources of information and advice and social media applications in their work with children, young people and families.
-To work with service managers, commissioners and other stakeholders to support the co-production of services in partnership with children, young people and families.
-To regularly engage and support a diverse range of young people from across the county, empowering them to input their views into the design, review and delivery of services.
-To co-produce and deliver engagement activities with children and young people appropriate to the needs of participants.
-To use appropriate methods and feedback approaches to measure the effectiveness and impact of engagement and communications activity.

You will have experience of delivering communications activity and of using web-based content management systems. Additionally you will have experience of directly working with children and young people.
