Title: HGV Mechanic

Rate: £16.88-£18.82, depending on experience

Location: Wyre Forest House, Finepoint Way, Kidderminster, Worcestershire DY11 7WF

Type: Temporary - two months

Opus People Solutions are working with Wyre Forest District Council to recruit for a HGV Mechanic, ideally with class 2 driving license. To work on council fleet including refuse freighters, flatbed vehicles, cars, mowers and more.

Main responsibilities

• Duties related to the Operation of the Council's vehicle workshop and MOT centre
• Assist with the Allocation of work and administration of the vehicle workshop
• Provide Fleet vehicle and plant maintenance along with MOT & Taxi testing. Corporate Accountabilities Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

• Manage information in line with the Council's policies, procedures and guidance on Data Protection, GDPR, Freedom of Information, confidentiality, information security and sharing to ensure compliance and efficient and effective information governance. Safeguarding
• Maintain awareness of Council policies and practices regarding the safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults who may be at risk. Report concerns in accordance with corporate guidance and procedures.
