Opus People Solutions are proud to be working in partnership with Walsall Council on their search for a temporary External Funding Bid Writer. This exciting opportunity is a 6-month ongoing remote position.
Pay Rate: £20.98 per hour (negotiable) Location: Remote Working Hours: 37 hours per week (Part-time roles available)
Responsibilities:
Draft, consult on, and implement a new External Funding Strategy aligned with Council priorities.
Facilitate collaboration among Council departments and key partners to ensure successful implementation of the External Funding Strategy.
Establish and manage an effective External Funding Group, bringing key stakeholders together to develop funding proposals, share resources, and best practices.
Cultivate strong relationships with the Voluntary, Private, and Commercial Sectors in Walsall and beyond to support the External Funding Strategy.
Lead the drafting of high-quality, timely bid submissions to secure significant new funding for Walsall.
Key Requirements:
Exceptional bid writing skills and experience in the public/voluntary sectors.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Relevant funding or project qualification (e.g., IOF, AMP, PRINCE 2) or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated success in developing, delivering, and submitting high-value funding applications to various funding bodies.
Experience in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with senior officials in external organizations and agencies.
