Safeguarding Trainer
Location: Ipswich, IP1 (Hybrid role, typically 2 days per week in Ipswich)
Hours: 22.2 hours per week, 42 weeks per year
Salary: £17,691 (£37,000 pro rata)
Contract: Permanent
Weekly Hours: 22.2 hours
Setting: Working within schools, colleges and other educational settings

A Safeguarding Trainer is required to develop, coordinate and deliver high quality safeguarding training for schools, academies, colleges and other educational settings. This role plays a key part in maintaining strong customer relationships and supporting the wider Schools' Choice and Vertas teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver engaging, compliant and up-to-date safeguarding training courses
* Tailor training to meet the specific needs of individual delegates and settings
* Stay informed on legislative, policy and practice developments in safeguarding
* Use IT solutions to enhance the training experience and accessibility
* Deliver bespoke training packages based on customer requirements
* Monitor and evaluate training delivery and outcomes
* Identify opportunities for income generation through training services
* Provide advice and signpost customers to relevant safeguarding resources
* Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, safeguarding partnerships and other stakeholders
* Support the wider team in improving service delivery and developing new products

What We're Looking For
* Strong understanding of safeguarding requirements in education
* Experience delivering high quality training to both large and small groups
* Confident in engaging audiences through both face-to-face and remote delivery
* Ability to manage and coordinate projects to agreed deadlines
* Skilled in building professional relationships with a range of stakeholders
* Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
* High level of digital literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office tools
* Able to manage sensitive and emotive issues with discretion and confidentiality
* Must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle for travel to training locations
* Desirable: Experience managing budgets, relevant training qualifications, CIPD in learning and development or equivalent
