Business Support Officer for the Suffolk Coroner's Office

We have 6-month temporary vacancy available in Ipswich on part time bases.

Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Suffolk County Council for a part time Business Support Officer for the Suffolk Coroner's Office based at Beacon House to undertake a range of administrative duties to support the delivery of case management and court operations within the Coroners Service.

The work involves a number of important and interesting roles including scheduling inquest hearings, maintaining the Coroner's Service website and working in court undertaking court usher duties including operating the court video-link system. You will also be dealing with enquiries via the telephone or email, draft and send routine correspondence and provide an efficient administration, secretarial and financial support service, this might include supporting specific teams, meetings or groups.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate ability to plan and organise own workload, proven strong administration skills, confident communicator both written and verbal with excellent IT skills.

Applicants should be aware that the nature of the work of the Coroners service does involve handling and being exposed to upsetting information and regularly speaking to bereaved families.

Business Support Officer is required to work 4 days a week ( 29.2 hours ) fully remote once trained.
