East Suffolk Council joins the 20 councils already working together with Opus to deliver innovative workforce solutions specifically tailored to local authorities' needs. By working in strategic partnership with our clients, Opus offers a modern workforce model that moves beyond traditional agency staffing. Our extensive experience in local government recruitment means we understand the challenges local authorities can face when it comes to temporary recruitment, and we work with our council partners to develop bespoke workforce plans that aim to minimise spend and reliance on temporary staffing and improve operational performance.

East Suffolk Council was established in April 2019, bringing together the former Suffolk Coastal and Waveney District Councils. The council is one of the largest district councils in the country, providing a range of essential services, including Housing, Waste Management, Leisure, Planning, and Environmental, to over 240,000 residents in the East of England.

We are excited to work alongside East Suffolk Council to manage their temporary recruitment provision and help improve data and insights on their temporary worker usage. Our dedicated East Suffolk recruitment team will work closely with the council to focus on sourcing candidates directly and develop enhanced workforce planning.
