Opus People Solutions is excited to announce that we are the headline sponsor for Local Government Essentials East – A Day of Discovery and Development.
Hosted by the East of England Local Government Association (EELGA), Local Government Essentials East provides Elected Members and Officers with valuable insights into the current local government landscape and how to navigate potential challenges. The event will address key issues facing local government, including legislative changes, increasing demands, and rising costs. Attendees can look forward to a series of events and speakers dedicated to these topics.
As a recruitment partner owned by local government and trusted by local authorities across the country, Opus understands the unique resourcing challenges that councils face. We collaborate closely with our partners to create practical and effective solutions. We look forward to engaging with attendees at the event to discuss key topics and how we can work together to address the challenges ahead.
We are also thrilled to have the opportunity to lead a session at the event. Opus' Director of Operations, Selena Ayling, and Associate Director Sam Goody will be joined by Alison Golding, Assistant Director of Workforce & Transformation at West Northamptonshire Council, to discuss "Workforce Solutions for a Changing Landscape" and how to prepare for local government's future.
Alison has played a key role in one of the UK's most extensive local government transformation programs. With her first-hand experience in guiding councils through significant change, her expertise in workforce strategy and transformation has helped numerous local authorities fast-track learning, avoid common pitfalls, and build resilient teams during transitions.
During our session, Alison and Selena will share practical lessons learned and proven strategies for managing and motivating employees through large-scale change—essential insights for any council preparing for the future.
Selena Ayling, Director of Operations, said:
