About the job:

We are looking for experienced qualified social workers, who are passionate about supporting communities and improving the lives of adults for locum assignments across various teams in Cambridgeshire County Council.

Salary up to £37 per hour depending on service.

As a social worker you will:

  • Assess the needs of adults and determine if they meet the Cambridgeshire County Council eligibility criteria for receiving social care,

  • Make sure that support plans are developed and implemented that ensures the adult's safety, wellbeing and independence in order to lead a fulfilled life,

  • Liaise regularly with colleagues in the directorate, across the Council and partner agencies to ensure excellent outcomes for service users and carers,

  • Carry out high quality person centred assessments and implement, monitor and review effective support plans and interventions to minimise risk, enhance the wellbeing of service users effective interventions with vulnerable adults,

  • Be directly responsible for supporting vulnerable adults and carers, taking timely action to ensure support needs are met and adults at risk are safeguarded.

What you will bring to the role

  • Excellent understanding adult social care legislation and guidance framing their work,

  • The ability to form positive relationships with service users and carers and other professionals,

  • Able to undertake a range of statutory assessments and formulate support plans,

  • Able to prioritise work effectively based on need and risk

  • Strong report writing and oral skills,

  • Confidence, emotional resilience and determination,

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Essential experience/qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience in Adult's services

  • Social worker qualification at degree level or equivalent

  • Evidence of continued professional development

  • HCPC registration

  • Current enhanced DBS certificate valid to work with adults, or willingness to complete
