Mobile Cleaner & Skills Trainer
Location: Various school sites across the county
Hours: Split shift, typically 5:00am to 9:00am and 2:00pm to 7:00pm (flexible based on school schedules and site needs)
Salary: £26,824.00 per annum
Contract: Permanent

Setting: Covering multiple school sites with training responsibilities

We are recruiting for a mobile cleaner with extensive industry experience who is ready to take on a dual role that combines hands-on cleaning duties with the delivery of training across school sites. This is a key position supporting both operational cleaning standards and staff development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel between sites to provide cleaning and training support
  • Carry out high-standard cleaning using appropriate chemicals and machinery
  • Unlock and secure buildings, maintain site safety and cleanliness
  • Deliver in-person training to frontline staff on cleaning techniques, equipment use, and health and safety practices
  • Develop and maintain documentation to support training, including updates on legislation, procedures, and site-specific requirements
  • Support the annual FM training plan and contribute to its development
  • Monitor training effectiveness and recommend improvements
  • Trial and document new cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with external audit standards and GDPR in training records
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and the Systems & Quality Manager to identify training gaps and future needs
  • Provide evidence of planned and delivered training sessions
  • Support the development of training aligned with British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICS) standards

What We're Looking For:

  • Full UK driving licence is essential (van provided)
  • Proven experience in the cleaning industry with strong knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment
  • Confident in delivering training and communicating with school staff including Business Managers and Head Teachers
  • Holds relevant qualifications including COSHH, Health & Safety, and other industry standards
  • Comfortable using technology to support training delivery and record keeping
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to respond to short-notice cover needs
  • High level of personal drive and commitment to excellent service
  • Must hold an Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one
  • Able to start immediately
