Opus people Solutions on behalf of Cambridge County Council have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Social Worker in North Transfer of the care team.

This role will be based at Hinchingbrooke Hospital with cover needed sometimes to assess people at Peterborough City Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kings Lynn.there is the opportunity to work from home a couple of days a week once you are settled into the role, however you may still be required to come into the hospital on those days to support, if demand requires it.

This role you will be. Triaging and allocating out all work that comes into the Hospital team. Which includes assessment of needs and safeguarding.

-Providing sound legal and policy/case advice to workers. -Leading and developing huddles.

-Supervising social workers/adult support coordinators.

-Proactively take the lead on team plan, safeguarding action planning and CQC assurance to support the team and team manager.

-Leading on complex cases and holding a small caseload as required.

-Liaising with the Multidisciplinary team to ensure good team working with health.

-Escalating cases appropriately to team manager/service manager/head of service.

-Make management decisions within budget constraints and know when to seek team managers authorisation as required.
