Senior Data Analyst (Energy Efficiency)
Homebased with travel for team meetings (London - Once per month) and to meet clients/stakeholders.
Salary: £48,474- £52,580per annum
Job Type: Full time 37 Hours per week 31st March 2025 Fixed Term Contract - extension subject to future funding

What is the role? As a Senior Data Analyst for the Greater South East Net Zero Hub you will play a key role in supporting the Government to deliver its net-zero ambitions, supporting the Energy Efficiency team to ensure the delivery of retrofit measures to fuel poor households via Government grant funded schemes.


This role will involve:

  • Providing expert analysis of housing data analytics, demographics and other data sets to inform both delivery direction and retrofit forecasting and planning.

  • Responsibility for line management of the Energy Efficiency Data Analyst and PMO Analyst.

  • Strategic development of retrofit projects - housing data analytics, demographics and other data set analysis (including utilising/developing tools to identify target areas) to inform area based retrofit strategies/plans. Leading on the deployment of innovative tools to test and evaluate new methods of identifying fuel poor households.

  • Analysis of delivery partner data and information to monitor delivery, scheme/PAS2035 compliance.

  • Development of tools to provide insight/analysis of data and information to support strategic, operational and commercial decision making.

  • Analysis of reporting data and preparation of statistical monthly reports.

  • Interpretation and presentation of data to a wide range of audiences for varying purposes and undertake analysis for reporting purposes.

What will you need?

  • Graduate / masters level qualification in a statistical or information related subject, or appropriate level of work experience

  • Previous experience of working with building performance and energy data

  • Extensive knowledge of databases and other PC tools to manipulate analyse and present information such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau

  • Knowledge of data modelling, data cleansing, and data enrichment techniques and the ability to carry out data quality control and validation

  • Experience of setting up and maintaining automated data processes

  • Experience of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques to produce clear outputs and recommendations including graphical representations and data visualisations with attention to detail
