Recruitment Operations & Business Support Lead
(Ideal for ex-recruiters who love the industry but not the sales)
37 hours a week | £28k-£30k | 25 days holiday + 1 extra day + benefits | Flexible / hybrid working
Worked in recruitment but not keen on the sales side?
Do you miss the pace, variety, and people side - but wish you could focus on organisation, client service, and delivery instead?
We're looking for someone with a recruitment background (or from a similarly busy, client-focused environment) to become our Recruitment Operations & Business Support Lead.
You'll work directly with our Director of Operations and support our leadership team, acting as the operational glue that keeps priorities moving, meetings productive, and actions delivered. This isn't about cold calls or sales targets - it's about using your organisational skills, industry understanding, and people skills to make sure nothing slips through the cracks.
Our team is made up of very different personalities and strengths, and we pride ourselves on pulling together, playing to each other's strengths, and supporting one another. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and get satisfaction from seeing everything running smoothly, this could be the perfect role for you.
What you'll be doing:
Owning the Director's diary, priorities, and follow-up actions - keeping everything on track.
Managing the inbox - clearing down urgent items, flagging priorities, and chasing outstanding actions.
Preparing agendas, minutes, and action lists for meetings (internal and client-facing).
Following up with Heads of Region and Operations to make sure actions are completed.
Helping to prepare and polish presentations, reports, and project documents (training given where needed).
Supporting recruitment-related projects and business initiatives.
Occasionally attending planned on-site meetings or events.
What we're looking for:
Recruitment experience (agency or in-house) - or from another high-pressure, multi-stakeholder environment.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
Proactive and confident in "managing up" and chasing actions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Confident with Microsoft Office (training provided for any gaps, e.g. PowerPoint).
A natural problem-solver who enjoys helping a busy leadership team run at their best.
What we offer:
£28k-£30k salary (depending on experience)
25 days annual leave + 1 extra day + bank holidays
Flexible / hybrid working - we trust you to manage your hours and deliver results
Supportive, collaborative team culture where everyone plays to their strengths
Opportunities to be involved in projects and initiatives beyond core duties
If you're ready to take your recruitment know-how into a role where you can truly run the show behind the scenes - without the pressure of sales targets - we'd love to hear from you.
