This role exists to: * Provide in depth knowledge of one or more areas of public health and its impact on, and relationship with, other areas of Public health. * Provide high-level technical skills, such as project management and the ability to analyse data and apply research to practice to support and inform the public health team and the delivery of the public health work programme. * Provide expert public health guidance on relevant public health matters such as Sexual Health, Maternity Services, Mental Health, Healthcare, services for 0-19 yearolds * Take an active role in training, staff development and research. The post holder will have individual objectives and a job plan and supporting development plan to build on existing knowledge and develop any additional skills to take a leadership role in one or more public health programme areas and meet the competencies required to undertake the role.
