Job description
Job Title: Project Manager - Children and Young People's Services
Location: Ipswich, Suffolk (Hybrid Working Available)
Contract: Temporary - 3 months
Hours: Full Time (37 hours per week)
Pay Rate: Flexiable
As Project Manager within a high-performing Children and Young People's Programmes Team, you will lead and support a portfolio of strategic projects designed to improve early intervention, service delivery, and long-term outcomes for families across the region.
Your work will span from developing data-led solutions and engaging with multi-agency stakeholders, to managing project risk and reporting on progress to senior leaders. You will also play a key role in embedding sustainable improvements that align with national reforms and local priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a variety of social care and inclusion improvement projects from concept to delivery
Use data and stakeholder insight to shape services that genuinely respond to the needs of children and families
Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to implement evidence-based strategies
Support communication efforts and stakeholder engagement across key initiatives
Provide clear reporting, documentation, and evaluation of project outcomes
Manage resources, support governance processes, and contribute to service improvement planning
About You:
You bring strong project management experience, ideally within health, education, social care, or community services
You're a confident communicator and collaborator, skilled in engaging stakeholders at all levels
You understand the complexities of children's services, inclusion strategies, and safeguarding responsibilities
You have a solutions-focused mindset and are comfortable navigating complex change
You may hold a relevant degree or equivalent professional experience, with a commitment to continued professional development
Project management training, knowledge of Signs of Safety, or experience working in politically influenced environments would be advantageous, but not essential.
