As Project Manager within a high-performing Children and Young People's Programmes Team, you will lead and support a portfolio of strategic projects designed to improve early intervention, service delivery, and long-term outcomes for families across the region.

Your work will span from developing data-led solutions and engaging with multi-agency stakeholders, to managing project risk and reporting on progress to senior leaders. You will also play a key role in embedding sustainable improvements that align with national reforms and local priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a variety of social care and inclusion improvement projects from concept to delivery

  • Use data and stakeholder insight to shape services that genuinely respond to the needs of children and families

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to implement evidence-based strategies

  • Support communication efforts and stakeholder engagement across key initiatives

  • Provide clear reporting, documentation, and evaluation of project outcomes

  • Manage resources, support governance processes, and contribute to service improvement planning

About You:

  • You bring strong project management experience, ideally within health, education, social care, or community services

  • You're a confident communicator and collaborator, skilled in engaging stakeholders at all levels

  • You understand the complexities of children's services, inclusion strategies, and safeguarding responsibilities

  • You have a solutions-focused mindset and are comfortable navigating complex change

  • You may hold a relevant degree or equivalent professional experience, with a commitment to continued professional development

Project management training, knowledge of Signs of Safety, or experience working in politically influenced environments would be advantageous, but not essential.

Why Apply?

  • Shape high-impact projects that improve lives and strengthen communities

  • Enjoy hybrid working options and flexible working arrangements to suit your lifestyle

  • Join a passionate, supportive team that thrives on innovation and continuous improvement

  • Gain experience in a sector-leading local authority known for progressive, values-led service delivery
