Opus People Solutions on behalf of Cambridge County Council are recruiting a Project lead for a bespoke recruitment and retention team (Children's Social Care workforce) to join their team on a temporary contract for a period of minimum of 6 months- possibly 9 months, starting ASAP.
This role is based in Buttsgrove (Huntingdon ).
Working Hours are 37hrs per week, hybrid work 2 days office-based 3 days wfh.

The overall purpose of the role is to support the recruitment programme for Childern's workforce.

Main Responsibilities:

To recruit and attract candidates into the roles within Children's Social Care workforce.
To improve and lead Councils Learning and development.
To manage projects, .onthly boeard , follow through admin taks and write business cases when required.
Champion Best Practice by being responsible for developing, sustaining and promoting consistent good Social Work practice across the two authorities Peterborough and Cambridge.

To improve current recruitment process if necessary.

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

To have a really strong understanding of children's social care and the challenges associated with attracting someone into the roles, no social care qualifications. are needed.
An understanding of learning and development and experience of recruiting staff.
You must have strong project management skills, negotiation and persuasion skills and ideally be able to write business cases as needed.

You do not have to be SW qualified but you need experience with the work and current issues (Early Help, QA professionals, Senior Recruiters within Social Care would be suitable for this role).
