Key functions of the role are:
- Plan equipment restitution at gateways to ensure regional export demand and forecast oceanic repositioning allocations are achieved.
- Effectively report empty available assets to facilitate export matchback targets.
- Guide Carrier Haul restitution to support export demand forecast and enforce cost control of Merchant Haul empty pick-up and restitution on round trip gateway basis.
- Provide weekly overdue list of asset type status reports to functionally accountable department for their action and follow up of any inventory integrity issues.
- Exceptional handling of Restricted Use label container asset for sale or offhire.
The ideal candidate will need:
- Ideally experience in a coordinator/logistics/scheduling role OR be a recent graduate
- To work as part of a close team and independently as required.
- Good organizational skills.
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work under pressure when required.
- Good Excel skills.
- Good communication skills.
