Are you an experienced chartered surveyor looking to make a strong influence? Do you thrive in a dynamic, innovative environment? We have the perfect opportunity for you to advance your career as an Operational Lead!
In this senior role, you'll be at the heart of the council's housing investment team. You will take a leading role in delivering and supporting the Councils' investment programme and proactively managing the Housing portfolio. You will oversee a phased programme of projects and work collaboratively alongside senior colleagues to proactively manage the Council's housing portfolio.

  • Be the team expert: Take responsibility for the Property Team (3 direct reports) and delivery of a high-quality housing investment programme to enhance the Councils Housing portfolio.
  • Drive clarity and clearness: Play a key role in ensuring recommendations and decision making is transparent, fair and aligns to corporate objectives and governance requirement.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget in alignment with the Councils' strategic objectives for Housing.
Key Responsibilities:
πŸ”§ Operational Leadership: Provide expert guidance on the housing sector, be the expert of affordable housing.
🌐 Innovative Solutions: Problem solve and find solutions to issues blocking scheme delivery.
πŸ’‘ Implement Improvement Programmes: Drive property development acquisitions and investment returns.
What We're Looking For:
  • Housing / Residential sector experience with good working knowledge of affordable housing.
  • Experience of financial appraisals and viability analysis.
  • Experience of dealing with development and/or regeneration schemes to achieve identified outputs on time, within budget and to the required quality.
  • Experience of local government/social housing.
  • Understanding of Housing Revenue Account regulations and legislative requirements of Local Authority Housing Providers.
Pay: Β£52,805.00 - Β£56,985.00 per year
Hybrid Working: Enjoy flexibility with 2-3 days per week working in our Melton or Lowestoft office.
