Part-Time On-Demand Bus Driver

Length of Assignment: Ongoing

Pay: £14.36

Shift Pattern: split shifts 7am-11am and back in 15:00pm-19:00pm on rota basis

Role Overview:

Opus People Solutions is recruiting on behalf of Shropshire County Council is currently seeking a motivated to join our team as a Part-Time On-Demand Bus Driver. As a Part-Time On-Demand Bus Driver, you will play a vital role in delivering transport services that meet the needs of our community. You will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate on-demand bus services in accordance with Shropshire County Council policies and procedures.

- Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during transit.

- Maintain a clean and well-presented vehicle.

- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, including those with mobility challenges.

- Adhere to schedules and respond to route changes as required.

- Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to management.

Requirements:

- Valid driving license (Category D1 or preferred PSV license) with a clean driving record.

- Experience driving buses or larger vehicles is preferred.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

- A good knowledge of Shropshire's road network is an advantage.

- A commitment to uphold safety and compliance standards.
