Opus people solutions on behalf of Telford and Wrekin council have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join there team.

This role will be hybridwith client visits going to office based at Darby House, Lawn Central Telford TF3 4JA and at home.

In this role you will be working 37 hours and will be:

• To assist in the delivery of the Councils statutory responsibility for assessment of adults. The Care Act (2014) focus is on prevention and boosting wellbeing. The Occupational Therapist has traditionally had a leading role in this.

​

• At every interaction with a person, a local authority should consider whether or how the person's needs could be reduced or other needs delayed from arising.

​

• Occupational Therapists will deliver effective interventions at the right time which can stop needs from escalating and help people maintain their independence for longer.

​

• To recommend, demonstrate and provision of equipment and housing adaptations.

​

• To work with the adult on therapeutic solutions for problems.
