36hrs per week averaged over 17 weeks

Job Summary
The Mobile Response Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of designated premises through proactive surveillance and rapid response to incidents. This position requires a vigilant individual who can effectively monitor environments, respond to emergencies, and implement loss prevention strategies. The Mobile Response Officer will be expected to work independently while maintaining effective communication with team members and management.
Duties

  • Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas around Colchester to deter and detect suspicious activities.
  • Monitor CCTV systems and utilise surveillance techniques to identify potential security threats.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid as necessary.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when required.
  • Document all incidents accurately and report findings to management.
  • Assist in the implementation of loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism while interacting with clients, staff, and the public.
  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills related to security practices and first aid.


Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a security role is preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of first aid practices is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is an advantage.
  • Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A valid driving licence may be required depending on the location of duties.
