Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Customer Service Coordinator to join our shipping client in Ipswich, one of the largest and most profitable businesses in their arena, a fantastic name to work for who value their staff. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of the supply chain process to ensure efficient operations. Shipping experience is NOT essential.

  • On-boarding new customers, ensuring we are primed to handle their business smoothly
  • Ensuring you are attending all meetings within the team, and being a team player to ensure success of the department
  • Support manager with any queries
  • Making requested changes to existing bookings & advising of any associated cost
  • Engaging with customers regarding changes in booking pattern
  • Ensuring cleints have a smooth experience
  • Identifying appropriate solutions in the face of disruption wherever possible, and appeasing customer complaints
  • Implementing strategic directions, such as introducing new online tools or promoting new services to customers

Experience:

  • Experience with customer service within logistics - ideal but not essential
  • Recent gradautes are also highly encouraged to apply

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work as part of a close team, and independently

  • Willingness to accept challenges & seek solutions
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • IT literacy; ideally familiar with Microsoft suite
