Head of Kitchen - Primary School

Location: Dunham on Trent
Hours: Between 09:00-13.00. 23 hours (Mon-Fri)
Pay: £13.27 per hour

About this role:

Are you passionate about food and love working with children? We're looking for a warm, organised and enthusiastic Head of Kitchen to lead our school catering team.

In this role, you'll be the heart of our lunchtime service preparing tasty, nutritious meals and making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. You'll be supported by a friendly team and work in a vibrant school environment where no two days are the same.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading the kitchen team to deliver delicious meals to our pupils
• Managing food prep, hygiene standards and kitchen safety
• Creating a welcoming atmosphere during lunchtime
• Stock checks
• Data input
• Working closely with school staff to meet dietary needs

What we're looking for:

• Experience in catering or kitchen management (school experience is a bonus!)
• A positive attitude and great communication skills
• Someone who enjoys working with children and making a difference
• Food hygiene & DBS certification (or willingness to obtain one)
