About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Finance Business Partner to join our high-performing Finance Business Partnering team. This is a strategic role that goes beyond the numbers - you'll be a trusted advisor to senior managers and directors, influencing decisions and ensuring best practices in financial management.
What You'll Be Doing:

• 
  Deliver expert financial advice and analysis to drive value for money across the Council
• 
  Partner with directorates on complex programmes and contracts
• 
  Lead on planning and performance reporting, helping to shape long-term strategies
• 
  Influence and challenge senior leadership using your insight and understanding
• 
  Ensure robust financial control and continuous improvement across services

About You
You are a CCAB-qualified (or part-qualified) finance professional with a strong track record in financial management, ideally within a large, complex organisation - local government experience is a plus. You have:

  Proven experience advising and supporting senior leaders
• 
  Excellent communication, analytical and influencing skills
• 
  A proactive approach to problem-solving and driving financial improvements
• 
  A passion for public service and making a tangible impact
