Finance Transformation Lead (12-Month FTC)


My client, a well-established organisation currently delivering a major transformation programme, is seeking a Finance Transformation Lead for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to key finance change initiatives and play a vital part in aligning UK finance operations with wider group transformation goals.
Working closely with senior finance leadership, project stakeholders, and group-level teams, you will lead on the financial reporting, governance, and tracking of high-impact transformation activities. This is a hybrid role, with approximately 40% of your time expected in the office or attending relevant meetings and events, increasing to a majority office-based role from September 2025.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the tracking and reporting of finance transformation initiatives across UK Finance.

  • Prepare and submit initiative updates and financial reports to Group stakeholders.

  • Own and maintain business case financial models and serve as the primary contact for related queries.

  • Develop clear project status reports for change boards and steering committees.

  • Coordinate inputs from multiple stakeholders for accurate and timely reporting.

  • Represent Finance at project meetings, working groups, and steering committees.

  • Support the implementation manager with analysis, transformation coordination, and stakeholder preparation.

  • Build strong relationships with sponsors and stakeholders to align reporting with business goals.

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Previous experience in a finance role and understanding of finance processes.
