Title: Data Migration Manager

Rate: £600 per day

Location: Remote - one day per month or when required during critical phases of the project

Type: Temporary - 12 to 18 months

Hours: 40 hours per week

Opus People Solutions are working with Cambridgeshire County Council to recruit for a Data Migration Manager to support a new upcoming Project. The post holder will work with the implementation team for 2 Line of Business systems which are being delivered in a tight timescales. A significant number of services will be involved in the testing and data migration and the post holder will be required to manage priorities to ensure delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

• To define and write the Data Migration Plan so that the approach, responsibilities and expectations are clearly understood and defined.
• Engage with the business teams to agree data requirements to ensure that the new system contains the required data.
• Manage data migration cycle activities including data extraction, data cleanse/transformation and data reconciliations.
• Oversee the data extraction from legacy system stack and provide access to the relevant data source for Liquidlogic and Finance.
• Responsible for ensuring and managing data quality and accuracy during data extraction process.
• Review error reports from tested data migration cohort while ensuring that the relevant data correction/cleansing work is scheduled and undertaken in the legacy system.
• Laise with internal and external Data Analysts and Migration Teams, Project Managers and Programme Delivery Teams.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and Programme Management reporting any risks or issues to the Project Manager.
• To assist the operational teams in defining their data management plan, including data owners and maintenance process.
