Community Support Worker

Pay: £13.02 - 13.24

Length: 3 months:

Days/Hours: Monday - Friday

Location: Working across Northamptonshire (The candidate will be required to drive and have access to their own vehicle)

Expenses to be paid for commuting for work purposes only.

Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of North Northamptonshire council for a Community Support Worker to assist in the provision of positive intervention and support for vulnerable adults and those with sensory impairment, to promote independence and community living and to help minimise the risk of hospitalisation or admission to residential care.

Main duties.

• Assist the Assistive Technology Team with identifying needs, visiting customers, low level installations, monitoring, support to customers and collection of equipment.

• To help customers maintain independent living.

• To promote independence through the provision of information to customers and through liaison with carers, internal and external agencies to help customers to access and utilise resources in the local community and maintain independence.

• To undertake low level equipment assessments, installations as directed by the equipment officers of customers and provide support and guidance to ensure customers receive services and benefits, they are entitled to.

• Assist equipment officers with ongoing assessment and provide information to help amend and update changes in customers' assessed needs and circumstances are recorded and addressed appropriately.
