Job Title: Waste and Transport Manager

Location: On-site

Pay Rate: Negotiable

Working Hours: 37 hours per week (varied hours between 7am - 5pm)

Assignment Duration: 1 month with potential extension

Responsibilities:

• Lead waste, recycling, and street cleansing services, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
• Manage Council transport, including fleet and workshop services.
• Drive continual improvement in service quality and efficiency.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and resource management.

Requirements:

• Significant management experience in waste/recycling services and/or fleet/transport management services, including maintenance, within a publicly scrutinized and corporately governed environment.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Budget management expertise.
• Membership of the Chartered Institute of Waste Management or Institute of Transport Engineers, or a relevant degree preferred.
