Opus people solutions on behalf of Peterborough City Council have an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join their Children in Care Team.


Job Title: Social Worker - Children In Care
Length of assignment:3 Months
Hours per week: 37
Hourly rate:£40 -£42
Location: Sand Martin House, Peterborough
Remote/Office based: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in partnership with children, young people, and families/carers and, through building effective relationships, to elicit their needs and views and promote participation in decision making.
• Undertake assessments in accordance with statutory/regulatory and operational standards, policy, and procedures for the service and in the context of assessing risk to children and young people.
• Plan, implement and review a range of interventions for children, young people, and families/carers in accordance with statutory/regulatory and operational standards, policy and procedures for the service.
• Manage a workload independently, seeking support and suggesting solutions for workload difficulties
• Chairing multi-disciplinary meetings and collaborating with other agencies and professionals to complete assessments and develop child-cantered care plans.
• Conducting annual Children and Family Assessments to ensure care plans are up-to-date and reflect the child's needs.
• Ensuring children's daily care needs are met and that they have a comprehensive understanding of their care journey through direct work, life story work, and collaboration with other professionals.
• Contributing to the team's growth by sharing knowledge, enhancing skills, and supporting the overall development of the team.

Skills:

• Social Work England Registered
• UK Driving Licence
• 3 Yearrs post qualyfying experience
