Job description
Job Title: Senior HR Advisor (Employee Relations)
Location: Remote (Walsall Council)
Pay Rate: £19.81 - £22.51 per hour
Working Hours: 20 - 37 hours per week
Assignment Duration: 3 months temporary
Overview:
Walsall Council is seeking a skilled and proactive Senior HR Advisor specialising in Employee Relations. This remote position plays a key role in providing expert HR advice and supporting managers through complex HR processes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Resolve complex HR queries, ensuring adherence to employment law and policies.
- Manage disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence cases effectively.
- Support recruitment, restructuring, redeployment, and employment changes.
- Advise on employee relations, including flexible working, organisational change, and TUPE.
- Coach and develop managers in HR procedures through workshops and direct engagement.
Requirements:
- Experience in HR advisory roles with a proven ability to manage diverse caseloads.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and local government policies.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, delivering high-quality HR advice.
