Job description

We're excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Claims Handler to join our UK wide clients growing team. You'll be managing a wide variety of claims across the full product range-from motor to commercial-playing a vital role in supporting customers when they need our client the most.

This is a full cradle-to-grave claims role, where you'll take ownership from first notification right through to resolution, working closely with customers, colleagues, and third parties to ensure a seamless experience. For those looking to develop, there's scope to progress to handling more complex technical claims and to take part in client meetings.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Delivering outstanding customer service by supporting clients throughout their claim journey.
  • Managing inbound calls and taking appropriate action to progress claims swiftly and efficiently.
  • Handling claims from start to finish, liaising with third parties to bring swift and fair outcomes.
  • Focusing on finding ways to say "yes" to customers, not excuses-making the role more rewarding and impactful.
  • Providing reassurance and empathy at often stressful times, ensuring customers feel heard and supported.

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking a proactive and customer-focused individual who brings:

  • Solid experience in a claims-related role.
  • A positive, "can-do" attitude and enthusiasm for delivering great service.
  • Strong communication skills-both verbal and written-and confidence using IT systems.
  • Excellent organisational abilities and the capacity to prioritise a varied workload.
  • A problem-solving mindset and team spirit.
  • The desire and ability to learn new systems, processes, and insurance products.

What We Offer:

Our client believes in supporting the team so you can perform at your best. That's why we provide:

  • A full training and development plan to help you grow in your role.
  • Support toward CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) qualifications.
  • Competitive benefits including:
  • Generous pension contributions
  • Medical cashback plan
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (with options to buy/sell/trade)
  • Family-friendly policies and flexible working support
  • Volunteer day each year to give back to the community
  • £500 referral bonus scheme with unlimited referrals
  • Access to onsite facilities including free parking, showers, and countryside views
