Senior Administrator / PA

Pay: £14.36 paye or £18.22 Umbrella per hour, 37 hours per week, Mon-Fri

Location: Ipswich, IP1, minimum of 2 days in the office - one of which needs to be Wednesday.

Length: 3 months with potential of extension

Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Suffolk County Council for an experienced Senior Administrator / PA to join their busy department to provide support with a range of administrative tasks and coordinate processes within Children and Young People Services.

As Senior Administrator / PA your typical duties would be:

  • Day to day management of specific processes carried out in service area including administrative, financial, IT and HR processes.
  • Diary management, making appointments, arranging and preparing for meetings, taking minutes etc.
  • Manage specialist administrative and management information systems with appropriate input from line manager. This would include detailed knowledge of specialist systems, system security and associated procedures.
  • Dealing with correspondence and information requests
  • Financial processes, eg. purchase orders and invoices
  • Data input, updating excel spreadsheets
  • Responsible for ensuring all necessary pre-recruitment activity, such as establishment control processes have been completed before recruitment requests are progressed to a recruitment advisor to progress.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Administrator / PA who have demonstrable experience of carrying out a range of administrative/ secretarial procedures and tasks, collaborate well with others and be flexible in your approach to meet the demands of the post and team, resilience and high level of IT literacy including Word, Outlook and Excel.

We are looking for ASAP start, interviews will be held in person and basic DBS will be carried out prior to start. Ideally we are looking for a someone without significant holiday throughout the assignment period.
