Regional Projects Manager Net Zero
Homebased with travel for team meetings (London - Once per month) and to meet clients/stakeholders.
Salary: £50,600-£55,800 Per annum
Job Type: Full time 37 Hours per week 31st March 2025 Fixed Term Contract - extension subject to future funding

What is the role?
You will be responsible for Managing the Regional Projects Officer
Include:

  • Administration of the Local Energy Advice Demonstrator (LEAD) grants. This is a £4m fund to pilot, test and evaluate different approaches to local in person energy advice services that supports households in their energy efficiency retrofit journey.

  • Managing day to day governance of the fund. This includes working with Regional Project Officer(s) and partner organisations to appraise grant/tender applications, establish funding agreements/contracts, monitoring and the administration of projects, ensuring compliance with the DESNZ and GSENZH performance management requirements.

  • Performance monitoring and reporting, budget management, knowledge transfer and forward planning.

  • Responsible for strategic projects contract management this may include, community energy, able to pay retrofit, regional research and toolkits.

  • Develop and implement marketing and communications plan

What will you need?

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent with relevance to the role

  • Knowledge of appropriate techniques for appraising, evaluating and monitoring grant applications

  • Knowledge of setting up and operating programme and project management support systems, including processes, procedures, and tools

  • Understanding of public procurement

  • Knowledge of domestic energy efficiency retrofit, community energy


Experienced project manager, with experience of grant scheme administration and governance and knowledge of setting up project/programme management support systems. Proven experience in performance monitoring/ reporting and contract management. Ability to write business cases, reports and tender specifications to a high standard with knowledge of public procurement requirements.

  • Strong managerial skills with appropriate line management experience

  • Extensive project management experience

Desirable

  • Project Management Qualification - Prince 2/APM
