Job description

We're seeking a Recruitment Consultant to join our Professional and Technical recruitment team at Opus People Solutions. We work with local authorities and businesses across Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes, Essex and Oxfordshire to fill temporary and permanent jobs in a range of sectors including, business support & administration, social care and management, amongst many others.

As a Recruitment Consultant, your role is to manage and develop the working relationship with our candidates and suppliers across the East of England as well grow and build working relationships with new and current clients.

We are currently operating a hybrid working approach. We have offices based in Ipswich, Milton Keynes and Northampton, with the role open to candidates based near any of these locations to allow a mix of office and home working.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieving all KPIs outlined by line manager

  • Identifying and developing client/business relationships

  • Visiting clients to build and develop positive relationships with them

  • Developing a good understanding of client companies, their industry, what they do, their work culture and environment

  • Advertising vacancies by drafting and placing adverts in a range of media, such as websites, job boards and social media

  • Identifying and approaching suitable candidates who meet specific job requirements, including those who may already be in work

  • Using candidate databases to match the right person to the client's vacancy

  • Working with the marketing team to manage and direct marketing activity designed to engage relevant candidates. This includes monitoring, developing and growing the pool of potential workers to provide a comprehensive range of skills to meet clients' requirements in terms of skills and geographic coverage

  • Preparing CVs and correspondence to forward to clients regarding suitable applicants

  • Informing candidates about the results of their interviews

  • Negotiating pay and salary rates and finalising arrangements between client and candidates

  • Offering advice to both clients and candidates on pay rates and training

  • Receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews and tests and creating a shortlist of candidates for the client

  • Ensuring all candidates are fully compliant before starting work

  • Briefing the candidate about the responsibilities, salary and benefits of the job in question

  • Identify, manage or contribute to projects and improvement initiatives required to enhance and develop the service

  • Work as master vendor with an agency supply chain to deliver the service to the client when unable to successfully place and Opus Peoples Solutions candidate.

  • Manage all elements of customer experience, including complaints, compliments and customer satisfaction monitoring with clients and workers

  • Manage communications channels with customers and workers that add value and enhance brand, reputation and experience

  • Deliver a quality, compliant service ensuring accurate data and compliance with policies and processes

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of recruitment experience within the public or private sector

  • A proven track record of billings and hitting targets

  • Experience developing growth strategies for your client portfolio

  • The ability to identify the critical needs within a business and provide suitable solutions

  • First class candidate management skills and a proven ability to manage a range of candidates through the recruitment process
