Title: Quantity Surveyor
Rate: £34 per hour PAYE £44.20 umbrella
Location: Crossgates House, Redditch B98 7SN - Hybrid
Type: Temporary - 6 months

Opus People Solutions are working with Redditch Borough Council to recruit for an interim Quantity Surveyor to support the Capital Programmes Team in Contract Management of projects for multiple property's and estates. These works include but not limited to Balcony replacement, Internal Refurbishment (Bathroom & Kitchens), Void Refurbishments, Disrepair, Roofing program, FRA Works, Energy Efficiency.
Main Duties

• To prepare contract documents (Tenders, Bills of Quantities, Work schedules, Specifications and Schedule of Rates) and to procure goods, services and works contracts. This will include participating in the evaluation of tenders and reporting on the outcome.
• To undertake site measurement and the valuation of works undertaken including the preparation of payment notification and all relevant associated documentation.
• To prepare and agree costs for variations and non-standard items of work.
• To prepare, analyse and agree claims and final accounts.
• To produce relevant financial reports for projects and contracts.
• To maintain knowledge of standard methods of measurement and standard forms of contracts.
• To assess, collate and present leaseholder contributions together with relevant service charges and conduct a review where required.
• To assist and prepare any relevant returns associated with Government or Regulator requirements including external funding providers.
