Job Title: Project Manager - Corporate Assets

Location: Rugby Borough Council

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Work Mode: Hybrid, with on-site requirements initially

Pay Rate: Negotiable

Assignment Duration: 3 months temporary to permanent

Job Description:

Rugby Borough Council is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Project Manager to join our Corporate Assets team. This role involves the development and delivery of property-related projects, with a strong emphasis on decarbonisation, to support our housing stock and corporate properties. The successful candidate will manage projects aligning with the Corporate Strategy, Asset Management Strategy, and the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) Business Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Deliver property projects in compliance with the council's Asset Management Strategy, ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Team Coordination: Manage and coordinate project teams, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Data Utilisation: Use data to inform project planning and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, focusing on decarbonisation.
  • Documentation: Prepare project feasibilities, initiation documents, briefs, plans, risk registers, and specifications.
  • Contract Management: Manage contractors and consultants effectively, ensuring quality delivery within budget.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with various council teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver successful projects.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: experience in planning, managing, and delivering property and construction projects up to £2M.
  • Education: Degree or HNC/HND in construction or equivalent.
  • Skills: Excellent project management, communication, and IT skills.
  • Knowledge: Good working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation related to construction projects.
  • Other Requirements: Full UK driving license and access to own transport for business use.
