Personal Assistant (PA)
Pay: £14.36 - £16.93 per hr paye or £18.96 - £22.35 Umbrella DOE, 37 hours per week
Location: Ipswich, majority would be office based but flexible working option available
Length: 12 months

Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Suffolk County Council for an experienced Personal Assistant to join Children's Services within Central Business Support and Information Management to provide full PA support and secretarial services.
Typical responsibilities for this role include diary management (quite demanding), opening and prioritising all incoming correspondence including dealing with emails from one or more inboxes, arrange meetings, booking venues, take & circulate minutes, provide team cover for other PAs and other administrative duties, responding to requests for information and ensuring these are processed within specified timescales, project support across a range of projects that are focused on improving the lives of children and young people. Assistant Directors / Service Directors usually have a very heavy workload, so the role will be very fast paced.
The nature of the PA role means that you will often be working without direct supervision and will be expected to make regular decisions using sensitivity and judgment, you will be expected to effectively manage own workload. We are looking for an experienced PA with excellent telephone manner, have demonstrable experience of carrying out a range of administrative/ secretarial procedures and tasks, collaborate well with others and be flexible in your approach to meet the demands of the post and team, resilience and high level of IT literacy including Word, Outlook and Excel.
Ideally relevant qualifications such as NVQ 3 or BTec/ONC or equivalent, RSA 3 or equivalent word processing or typing qualifications.
Successful candidate must commit to start immediately.
