Job description
Join our client - a leading business who are seeking a commercial mortgage case manager to join their team. If you have mortgage experience - we want to talk to you! This fantastic role includes NO weekends or evenings, which is great for people stuck in a unsociable working pattern.
Duties:
- Understand the terms and conditions of a commercial loan, so that they may be clearly explained to and met by the borrower.
- Ensure information relating to borrowers and their loans is current, accurate and updated within mandated levels and in accordance with procedures.
- Receive and resolve loan enquiries from borrowers and their representatives.
- Liaise professionally with our third-party advisors and other areas of the business.
- Process requests for redemption statements in a prompt and timely manner and ensure that upon receipt of required funds the loan security is released in accordance with procedures and agreed SLAs.
- Review, calculate and process financial transactions in the system.
- Monitor adherence to financial covenants and ongoing loan conditions.
- Review loan documentation and information provided by borrowers as part of periodic loan reviews and identify any risks to the lender.
- Review borrower financial accounts and identify any issues, concerns or risks to the lender.
- Accurately report any highlighted risks or concerns proactively and in a professional manner, making recommendations to client as necessary and expressing balanced technical opinions.
- Produce well-considered recommendations to credit committee and clients and where required attend Watchlist, Client and Credit Committee meetings to present updates and recommendations.
- Manage non-performing loans (including arrears and breach of loan covenant) to the most successful resolution for the Client, liaising with our third-party advisors where required and where required via the lenders Watchlist.
- Assess legal documentation including leases, security documents, variations to terms and conditions, and release documents.
- Understand valuation reports and the implications they have on the outstanding loan and how the information contained in the report affect the lender and their security.
Requirements:
- Mortgage experience in some form
- Ability to work to tight dealines and FCA/compliance regulations
- Good computer / IT abilities
