Opus People Solutions on behalf of North Northampton County Council are recruiting for a L&D Trainer Advisor to join their team on a temporary contract for 12 months with the potential to become permanent, starting Asap. This position offers a hybrid / Mix of office presence for meetings and presentations as well as working from home. No set pattern of working but expected to be between the hours of 9am-5pm 37 hrs per week with some travel across the region. Re-imbursed via expenses at 45p per mile.
Description of roles and duties :
To liaise with West and North Northants colleagues in providing Information, advice, and guidance to managers of staff regarding planning for Apprenticeships with workforce needs. On occasion may support Milton Keynes Council in addition
To support provider research into required apprenticeship, provider engagement to encourage providers to follow public sector procurement routes
Support managers in recruitment of Apprentice staff as and when required
MUST be willing to learn procurement processes
Ability to travel essential across council sites for presentation and engagement with managers
Expectations of 12 meetings/presentation per month to different departments.
Good strategic vision to support implementation of Apprenticeship strategy via actions and advice provided
Proficient level of:
Apprenticeships knowledge - programmes available, matching programmes to job roles, requirements of apprenticeship components
Demonstratable experience of ESFA funding regulations and Ofsted Best Practice
Computer skills using Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and Teams.
Organised and flexible in approach to meeting with customers
Articulate and professional in approach
Willing to learn and be adaptable in approaches to promotion of apprenticeships to meet strategy needs
Desirable - Matrix knowledge
