Job description
HAF- Holiday Activity and Food Program
Start: ASAP
Hours: To be agreed
Rates: £13.41
Location: Walsall
We are looking for fantastic candidates to apply for the HAF Project during the Easter, Summer and Christmas school holidays, providing one-to- one support to children aged 5 to 16 years old. There are also, lots of other opportunities to work outside of these times in other care roles we have.
We are looking for HAF workers to encourage children to eat heathy during the project, to be active so taking part in the activities, not to be socially isolated, have a greater understanding of health and nutrition and be more engaged with schools and other local services.
We also want to ensure that the families who take part in the HAF programme develop their understanding of nutrition, food budgeting, health, employment and education.
We also will be working with children who have special educational needs and or disabilities the activities that we will be providing will always be inclusive to children who have these needs, and there will be some activities that are specifically for these children.
You may be asked to liaise with parents to find out what specific activities the child would like.
- You must have a level 2 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent.
- You must have experience in working with special educational needs children.
