Homebased with travel for team meetings (London - Once per month) and to meet clients/stakeholders.

What is the role?
As Data & Information Manger for the Greater South East Net Zero Hub you will lead a growing team of Analysts working to drive net zero action across the South East of England. In this role you will lead the development of the Hub’s in-house data analysis capabilities and collate, organise, analyse, and interrogate project data and information from a range of data sources including Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs), Local Authority Strategies and associated initiatives and using this information lead the development of a Data and Information Net Zero Strategy in conjunction with Hub leads to support the delivery of the decarbonisation programme for the region.

You will be responsible for leading a team of data analysts, management, and reporting experts across the portfolio of projects being delivered by the GSENZH. The post-holder will be responsible for deployment of the teams resource with Programme leads.

Your specialist specialist environmental / sustainability knowledge as well as data analysis expertise will support you to position the Hub as a centre of intelligence for local energy/net zero issues, so that it becomes the first port of call for stakeholders seeking impartial evidence-based information, advice, and signposting.

The role will include:

  • Data & Information strategy development

  • Support development of Hub's business plans and project prioritisation

  • Data sources and tools for project delivery and analytics

  • Management and use of data and software - supporting team members to standardise, refine process for data capture, ensure consistency in use and analysis

  • Build skills and capability within estate management teams, supporting clients to identify data and provide analytics to bring forward net zero projects

  • Performance monitoring and reporting

  • Data analytics

  • Data compliance and governance

  • Identification of funding streams

What will you need?

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) in a related discipline.

  • Proven experience of designing, developing and completing tenders and grant applications

  • Proven track record in statistical analysis, data analytics, interpretation and management

  • Working knowledge of GDPR compliance

  • Knowledge of Data Protection Act

  • IT/Computerised system design

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Net Zero and energy policy landscape

  • Previous line management experience
