We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Customs Clearance Specialist to join our clients dynamic team and ensure the smooth and efficient processing of international shipments. The client, based in felixstowe, have a great local reputation and have been growing in the last few years rapidly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the customs clearance process for import and export shipments.
• Prepare and process import/export documentation according to customs regulations, laws, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including tariff classifications, duty rates, and any applicable restrictions or permits.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely clearance and delivery of shipments.
• Resolve customs-related issues and delays, communicating effectively with customs authorities and clients.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions, inspections, and relevant documentation.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in customs regulations and ensure the company's processes remain compliant.
• Provide guidance and support to clients on customs requirements and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in customs clearance or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, tariffs, and international trade laws.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in customs clearance software and Microsoft Office Suite
