Do you work in Social Care? If so this role is for you.

While this role is based in Cambridge, it will be covering all of Cambridgeshire.

As a Children's Support Worker, your role will involve providing tailored support to young people in various settings. You could be spending quality time with young individuals in their homes or accompanying them on fun outings, such as bowling or trips to the cinema. You will play a crucial role in creating memorable experiences that enrich their lives. There will also be times when you'll provide overnight support to ensure the safety and well-being of the young person, offering peace of mind to both them and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children and young people in their home or other environments.
  • Engage in fun and enriching activities, such as outings to local attractions.
  • Provide overnight care when needed to ensure safety and security.

What We're Looking For:

  • A full driving licence, access to a vehicle and business insurance.
  • A caring and proactive attitude.
  • The ability to build strong, positive relationships with young people.
  • Flexibility and reliability, including the ability to provide overnight support when required.
  • You will be familiar with safeguarding requirements, the duty of care, and relevant legislation, ensuring you provide the highest standard of support.
  • You will have excellent communication skills, able to engage with individuals through various formats and work effectively within a multi-agency setting.
  • You will have experience in producing and maintaining accurate care records and reports, ensuring that all information is handled with care and professionalism.
  • A willingness to travel locally and across the County as required.
