Caretaker - Vertas
Barrow Support Centre S43
15 hours per week 40 weeks per year
Monday-Friday 07.00-08.00-15.30-18.30
Salary: £12.41
Overview:
We're looking for a dedicated Caretaker to offer opportunity to work in a welcoming local Support Centre, making a difference and ensuring the facilities of the building are clean and safe.
Main responsibilities of the Caretaker include:
- The role includes maintaining a clean, safe and healthy environment for the children and staff.
- You will be responsible for, sanitizing workrooms, hallways, restrooms, litter picking and completing minor maintenance repairs.
- Topping up consumables (paper towels, toilet paper, soaps), emptying bins and general site duties.
The successful Caretaker will have:
- Basic understanding of health and safety (though full training will be provided), be willing to learn, and be comfortable using a laptop and email.
- They should also be confident answering the phone, communicating with customers, and contractors, setting alarms, and assisting with fire drills.
