Helping people stay independent

Suffolk County Council’s Home First provide short term reablement care and support to help people stay independent within their own home.

We are seeking caring individuals who are passionate about making a difference within their local communities to join Home First’s teams across Suffolk as Reablement Support Workers (RSW).

As a Reablement Support Worker you will play an important role in helping people in your local community stay independent in their own homes for as long as possible by providing short term care and support.

The aim of the support is to:

  • prevent hospital trips that are not needed

  • help people in their home after a hospital stay

  • avoid people from moving into a care home before it's needed

This is an extremely rewarding role where you can see the real impact of your work as you support customers throughout their support plan and help them regain independence.
