About the Role:
Working across Newark, Retford, Mansfield and Worksop, you will be working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 14:00, 39 weeks per year. You'll play a key role in supporting kitchen operations across multiple sites, helping to deliver nutritious, high quality meals whilst maintaining excellent customer service and food safety standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the preparation, cooking and serving of meals
- Assisting with the day to day running of the kitchen
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and health and safety
- Supporting stock control and ordering processes
- Delivering excellent customer service to pupils, staff and visitors
- Assisting with kitchen administration and record keeping
- Supporting multiple sites where cover is required
- Assisting with washing up and general kitchen duties
Who are we looking for?
- Previous catering experience is desirable
- Experience working within a school or commercial kitchen environment is advantageous
- A positive and flexible approach to work
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- The ability to adapt and respond to change in a growing organisation
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential
