Cambridgeshire County Council is looking for passionate and experienced Social Workers to join its Assessment Teams based in Huntingdon and South Cambridgeshire.

As a Social Worker within the Assessment Team, you will be responsible for undertaking high-quality statutory assessments and delivering effective interventions to safeguard children and support families.
You will work within a dynamic environment where no two days are the same, leading on complex assessments and making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people.
Locations: Huntingdon (PE29 3AD) & South Cambridgeshire (CB2 9NL)
Salary: £41,958 - £44,822 per annum

Key Responsibilities
- Undertake statutory assessments and formulate effective plans for children and families.
- Lead strategy discussions and multi-agency meetings.
- Complete Section 47 enquiries and safeguarding investigations.
- Prepare high-quality court reports under Sections 7, 37 and 31.
- Complete SWET assessments and care plans where required.
- Work closely with partner agencies to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely case recording in line with statutory requirements.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 25 children and families.
