Job Role-Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist
Hours- 37 Hours per week
Pay Rate: £31.97 Umbrella
Location- It is a hybrid role, so on Wednesday it is our office day at Goscote Centre (WS3 1SJ). The other days are completing visits/home working, although there is the option to touch down in the office daily if preferred.

We are specifically looking for an Advanced Practitioner to support the Occupational Therapy workforce across the Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) Team within the Pathway to Independence.

About the Role-
The PEI Team provides Occupational Therapy intervention for adults aged 18 and over, supporting people to maximise their independence and remain safe within their own homes and communities.
This may be through the provision of minor or major adaptations, including Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs), equipment ranging from standard daily living aids to specialist equipment, and assessment and intervention relating to manual handling needs.

As an Advanced Practitioner, you will play a key leadership role within the service. You will have direct line management responsibility for a number of Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants, providing:
- Professional supervision and support - Quality assurance and oversight of practice
- Work allocation and workload management - Coaching, mentoring and workforce development
- Support with complex case discussions and decision-making You will work closely alongside the Team Manager and two other Advanced Practitioners to ensure high standards of practice and positive outcomes for the people we support.

About You We are looking for an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist with a strong background in Adult Social Care and a passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred services.

You will bring
: - A recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and HCPC registration - Significant post-qualification experience within Adult Social Care
- Experience of supervising, supporting or mentoring staff, students or apprentices
- The ability to provide professional leadership and support to colleagues - Confidence in decision-making and managing complex situations
- Excellent communication and partnership-working skills
- A commitment to continuous improvement and achieving positive outcomes for adults and carers
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975. As this role is eligible for an Enhanced DBS check, applicants are required to declare any cautions and convictions that are not protected under current filtering rules.
