About the Role:
Based at Trent Vale Infant/Nursery, NG9 1LP, you will be working Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 13:30, 25 hours per week, Term Time Only. You'll play a key role in preparing and delivering nutritious, high quality meals while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and customer service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking meals in line with menus and nutritional standards
- Managing food preparation and presentation
- Maintaining food hygiene and health and safety standards
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies
- Leading kitchen operations and supporting catering team colleagues
- Ensuring an excellent dining experience for pupils and staff
Who are we looking for?
- Previous cooking or catering experience is essential
- Experience working within a school or commercial kitchen environment is desirable
- Food Hygiene certification is desirable
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A team player providing an excellent service across the Vertas Group
