We are seeking someone for this role who has clear experience in a simliar role as an essential.

Will Writing Services

  • Drafting Wills and related documents based on instructions received from clients via email, telephone, or meetings (in person or via video call).

  • Discussing instructions and responding to queries from clients and their advisers through correspondence and meetings, including handling technical queries where required.

  • Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date records relating to Wills.

  • Processing payments for Will‑writing services.

  • Managing queries and correspondence relating to cancelled or inoperative Will appointments.

  • Conducting reviews of existing Wills.

Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)

  • Preparing LPAs based on client instructions.

  • Discussing instructions and responding to queries from clients, their families, and advisers through correspondence and meetings.

  • Registering, handling, and supervising the appointment of a corporate attorney under an Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA), including all associated matters.

  • Assisting with reviews of existing LPAs.

Executorships

Managing executorship cases from initial notification of death through to completion of the estate administration process, including:

  • Meeting with family members, arranging property insurance, appointing solicitors, and preparing information required for probate applications.

  • Liaising with investment managers and financial planning teams as appropriate.

  • Advising families and beneficiaries on inheritance tax matters.

  • Making distributions, settling liabilities including payments to HMRC, collecting in assets, and preparing allocation statements, estate accounts, and R185 certificates.

  • Ensuring thorough and accessible record‑keeping.

  • Building and maintaining strong family relationships.

  • Identifying opportunities to retain assets and develop new business

Experience:

It is essential you have simliar experience in another role, understanding technical elements of Wills, Probate, Estates etc.

If you have started your STEP qualification, great, if not - they will fund this qualification.

Experience in client contact, face to face.

For this role you do need a full driving license and vehicle for occasional meetings.
